The raincoat for sighthounds is an ideal choice for spring and autumn, when rain, wind and cooler weather alternate. It is made from functional Soft Shell® material with a TEKseries membrane, which is wind-resistant and water-resistant, while remaining highly breathable. This type of material is commonly used in professional alpine skiing apparel, where maximum performance is required. The TEKseries soft shell effectively retains heat between the dog’s body and the membrane, which forms one of the key layers of this technical material. In combination with its other properties, it provides reliable protection against wind, cold and moisture, while allowing excess heat to escape and helping to prevent overheating. The fabric has been designed to withstand even strong wind gusts. The manufacturer of TEKseries materials has been developing wind-resistant fabrics since the 1970s and is considered among the world leaders in this field. Thanks to HydroOil® impregnation, water molecules remain on the surface of the fabric, where they form small droplets and run off instead of penetrating the material. In combination with a membrane with a water column of 10,000 mm, the raincoat helps keep the dog dry even in adverse weather conditions. HydroOil® impregnation gradually wears off with use and washing. To maintain the water-repellent properties of the material, we recommend regular re-impregnation, ideally using high-quality nano impregnations that do not affect breathability or the functional membrane.
