About us
Behind the DG DogGear brand is a story that began in 2007 with the arrival of my first sightound lady – a whippet named Izy.
At a time when it was nearly impossible to find clothing that truly fit sighthounds and looked good at the same time, the idea was born to combine my love for animals with a lifelong dream of becoming a fashion designer – this time not for people, but especially for sighthounds.
Our first collection was ready by autumn 2007, and just a year later, in 2008, we launched our very first online shop.
From humble beginnings in a garage with the help of a single seamstress, DG DogGear gradually grew into an established brand. Today, we design and handcraft a wide range of functional and stylish apparel and accessories – from collars and coats to racing vests, jumpers, and tops. Every product is developed in-house – from the initial design to production techniques.
I’m not on this journey alone – I’m surrounded by a talented and dedicated team, without whom DG DogGear wouldn’t be where it is today. We’ve worked together for many years and share the same values – responsibility, precision, and a strong focus on quality in every detail.
Our products now travel to almost every corner of the world, and we work with partners in 12 countries. Yet everything is still handmade, exclusively in the Czech Republic – with care, craftsmanship, and heart. Most of our designs are made by a specific team member who takes full personal responsibility for each product.
